The Siddhartha Dive Center is located in an open area overlooking the ocean, making it the perfect place to gather before and after a dive or snorkel and look through our fish ID books. The center also acts as our open-air classroom for our wide range of courses.
Our Dive Center was built with divers and snorkelers in mind. It has all the amenities you need to make your diving and snorkeling experience smooth and enjoyable. There are toilets and showers, storage lockers, large equipment rinse tanks, and plenty of space to clean, hang, and dry your equipment.
Local Diving
Our House Reefs
Our house reef spans 350 meters, directly in front of the resort, and has five different entry and exit points. The expansive marine area is also home to our own thriving artificial reef project and provides access to a famous wreck.
The shallow areas are ideal for snorkelers and are full of sea life. Our entry points slope down gradually to a nearly continuous coral reef with many larger blocks of coral and an abundance of fish. You will find our artificial reef project directly in front of the dive school entrance. It extends over a length of approximately 70-80 meters and is at a depth of 14 meters.
The Boga wreck can also be accessed from our reef. The 50-meter-long boat was purposely sunk in September 2012 to offer more dive opportunities in the area and to increase marine diversity. It is located from 16 to 35 meters deep.
Our staff is ready to lend assistance for shore entries and exits anywhere on the house reef with equipment brought to your desired entry point and brought back to the dive center after your dive or snorkel.
Surrounding Area Dive Sites
Dive and snorkel sites in the nearby Tulamben and Amed areas are within easy reach, including the famous USAT Liberty Wreck, just five minutes away from our resort. A large selection of dive sites can be reached within 5 to 20 minutes from the resort, with the dive sites around Amed around 45 minutes away by car.
Day Trips
We also offer full-day trip excursions further afield for the opportunity to dive or snorkel with manta rays and mola molas in Nusa Penida. The dive sites around Nusa Penida in the south-eastern region of Bali can be reached by car and boat within 1.5 – 2 hours.
Full-day trips to Padangbai, Nusa Penida, and Amed start between 6:30 and 8:00 in the morning and return to the resort between 3 – 5 pm, depending on the distance of the trip. On full-day excursions, during which two dives are made, guests will be provided with lunch, water, and soft drinks, which are included in the price of the dive package.
Dive Courses
We offer a full range of SSI courses ranging from your first underwater experience with our Try Scuba | Introductory Dive, to Open Water and Advanced Diver Certifications as well as specialty courses to improve your current skills or to learn new ones!
Try Scuba | Introductory Dive
Our introductory dive program provides the opportunity for a safe and fun first interaction with the underwater world. The session gives guests a comfortable experience without the stress of practicing skills. We start in the pool to gain confidence and then continue with a dive in the sea while staying in constant and direct contact with our professional instructors.
After an introductory dive, if you decide to continue with an Open Water course, the introductory dive will be credited towards your course.
Duration including explanations, pool, open water, approximately. 1.5 hours.
Maximum two divers at a time.
SSI Open Water Diver | Become a Certified Diver
Learn to scuba dive and get ready for an experience of a lifetime!
Our professional, experienced instructors will share their enthusiasm for diving, teach you all the essentials of dive theory, and help you master the required skills in confined water. From there, you will put these skills and knowledge into practice in the open water at one of our beautiful local dive sites.
Our courses follow international SSI guidelines and are combined with our 25+ years of experience and philosophy to help our students feel relaxed and safe underwater. We limit the group sizes for all our courses so we can provide dedicated individual attention to each student.
This course consists of six underwater lessons (combined with time in the pool and in the sea), plus accompanying dive theory, and a final written test.
Each Open Water course can be completed in 3-4 days, including theory and 2 dives per day, and includes internationally recognized SSI Open Water Diver certification, upon completion.
SSI Advanced Adventurer Diver
Take your diving to the next level with our SSI Advanced Adventurer Diver Course.
This course gives you the opportunity to experience five exciting specialties in advanced diving. Navigation, Deep Diving, Wreck Diving, Peak Performance Buoyancy (PPB), and Night Diving are the most popular choices to focus on, with additional specialties available to choose from based on your own interests.
Once you complete your 5 specialty dives and education from our Adventurer Course, we invite you to explore additional training and education through our SSI Specialty Courses. The dives you complete during our SSI Advanced Adventurer Diver course on the respective topic will be credited towards further certification.

Specialty Courses
Expand your current skills and knowledge through our specialty course offerings.
We offer the full range of SSI Specialty Courses – from Deep Diving, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Wreck Diving, Navigation, Rescue Diver, Night Diving, and Enriched Air Nitrox Diving.
Our most popular Specialty Course is Enriched Air Nitrox Diving, which consists of theory only. You will study the theory independently and then review it with an instructor. This course includes a walk through the compressor room with explanations about our Nitrox filling system, and how it all works. After successfully passing a final test, you are immediately able to start diving with Nitrox.
All other special courses consist of 2-5 dives, depending on the course. The individual design and the time frame of the special courses will be determined together with you and an instructor in our dive center, but in general, they take 1-3 days to complete.
